GROW, an acronym for Green Ridge Om & Wellness, LLC, was founded in 2012 by Kristin Martelli, LMT, BCTMB, CPMT.

The journey began with a partnership with Dr Charles Taylor in his Green Ridge chiropractic center where we offered affordable chiropractic and massage services in an integrative and collaborative way.  We shared the view that wellness can be simple, effective and sustainable.  In keeping with that view, along with our desire to educate the community on responsible wellness practices, we hosted many new and exciting events not previously seen in our community.

Our integrative approach led us to partnering up with other like-minded professionals.  Laurie Waskovich, MS, RD, LDN began offering innovative nutrition classes and appointments.  Corey Cohen, BA, CMI, brought ground-breaking mindfulness meditation workshops to our community with 35 years of experience! We also had various yoga professionals sharing their knowledge and compassion, such as Melissa Costello, E-RYT 500, YACEP, and Roberta Brentano.  Proper nutrition + daily movement + wellness services  =  a winning formula for success.

In the winter of 2014, Dr Taylor moved to another location.  GROW stayed, but, in the spring of 2015, GROW, and the entire 700 block of Green Ridge corners, experienced a most unfortunate event.  The fire left GROW "homeless" but with the help of our amazing community, and most notably Jennifer Naro for providing Kristin a space to temporarily see clients, we were back in business by the fall of 2015.

GROW enjoyed two amazing years in downtown Scranton in the historical Ritz theatre building. We partnered up with our lovely and innovative friends/neighbor at Terra Preta, for events like First Friday, and causes we believed in. The whole building buzzed with excitement as the entire downtown began seeing a new growth. There are wonderful things happening in our community, and it was such an honor to have been even a small part of that.

We believe in what we do, and we love our community. We buy local, help local people and encourage partnerships with other local businesses to help us all GROW into our best.  That will never change. There is another wellness center opening up in downtown Scranton. Honestly, it looks amazing.  Kristin will be stepping down from owning an entire wellness center in downtown Scranton, and is now stepping up to focus solely on clinical massage therapy.

Everyone needs to take a step back sometimes.  Sometimes, in taking a step back, others are given the opportunities to step up.  Sometimes we take a step back in one area to take a step up in another.  A wellness business is no different. Education is important to GROW.  Family is the most important. Kristin needs to take some time for both, and in the last few months, she started to plant some seeds to make that happen.  While we wait for GROW to sprout back up, please continue to enjoy....

Clinical Massage Therapy by Kristin Martelli, LMT, BCTMB, CPMT

Starting September 1st, 2017, I will be renting space from Dr Jamie Knight and Dr Jarrett Kaminsky at Professional Chiropractic Associates, 909 Albright Avenue, Scranton, PA. I will be offering clinical massage therapy three days a week at that location, and will continue to travel off-site for pediatric massage appointments. The other two days a week, I will be further developing my continuing education courses, and spending more time on being an advocate for massage therapy in the political health care arena.

All existing clients can still book online, and I welcome all new clients to call, or email me, with any questions, or assistance in setting up your first clinical massage appointment.  My journey continues, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of YOUR wellness journey.

In good health,

Kristin Martelli, LMT, BCTMB, CPMT

A shared journey where we all GROW.
